DIY Barbie Clothes for Christmas Gifts -Free Patterns, Ideas and Tutorials

Let's face it folks, girls love to dress their dolls but Barbie clothes can be expensive! Especially since some only require about 6" of fabric... I thought I'd create a round-up of different ideas and free patterns so you can get started early making items for Christmas gifts. Some require sewing, some are no-sew, some crochet and some knitting, a little something for everyone:@) I hope you find something that inspires you, and you can see everything at a glance on my Pinterest board here. Clicking the title will take you to my original post, either here on DIY Barbie or on my first blog Happier Than A Pig In Mud

  1. Doll clothes are a WONDERFUL Christmas gift for kids who like to play with their dolls. I learned to crochet because my now adult niece started playing with a variety of dolls and finding the clothes in the stores to fit them was not easy and often expensive when you could find outfits for the dolls. She loved getting new outfits for her dolls from her Barbies to the larger 18" size dolls. Lots of people don't know how to make clothes so they are a really welcome gift.
