First DIY Barbie Blog Post...

Welcome to DIY Barbie Blog and thank you for stopping by! I cannot believe this title was still available!!! My name is Lynn and I've been blogging for 13 years at Happier Than A Pig In Mud. One of my recurring themes has been simple Barbie crafts and clothes that folks can make for, or even better, ~with~ girls. I decided it was time to move the Barbie ideas, themes, bling and talk, to it's own dedicated blog. I'll probably be a little chattier over here too...
Barbie says moving blogs is exhausting... She could use some R&R and a nice cold drink.

I've seen some amazing Barbie blogs, with folks going to conventions, creating custom outfits, stunning dioramas and featuring incredible collectible dolls. Um... That's not what this blog will be about, although I will be happily sharing some of those links. My dolls are from Walmart, thrift stores and yard sales, and they've been heartily played with. Some of my crafts may look like a 10 year old made them, and that my friends, is what this blog is all about! I want to share some ideas a 10 year old can make, ~and~ some more advanced crafts, themes and dioramas a grown up might like too. You can click for links to my previous blog posts and Barbie Pinterest board.

I know some might wonder... Why does a woman with grown sons and no grandkids want a Barbie doll blog? Well, I'll tell you. One of my favorite childhood memories is, one day Ma sewed me a brand new pair of pajamas, then she took the fabric scraps and sewed a matching pair for my Barbie. Boy I thought that was the neatest thing in the world, and I felt very special indeed! Here I'll share simple ideas hoping you can build special memories too.

~Create something just for fun and have a happy day😊
