Ribbon and Thin Ruffle Barbie Top & DIY Cinco de Mayo Week

I decided to have a little fun and declare this last week of April ~Cinco de Mayo Week~ here on DIY Barbie Blog. My posts will include simple ideas for your Barbie (and Ken) to get ready for the holiday on Tuesday, May 5th...

First up, I started with my no-sew Barbie top from 1 1/2" wide ribbon. I added a little ruffle trim across the top and wrapped it around the doll's arms to create an off the shoulder sleeves look. I love this cute little top, it can be dressed up or kept very casual. The combination of the rich red colored top and dark haired doll hints towards Cinco de Mayo to me!

I simply hot glued the ruffle to the upper edge of the top in front,
loosely wrapped it around the doll's arms and hot glued it to each side of the back.
