Five Barbie Craft Ideas from $1 Rubber Pencil Grips

I stopped at Dollar Tree and picked up a colorful 10 pack of rubber pencil grips. My main reason will be shared closer to the holidays, but I wanted to come up with a few other fun projects for this purchase. Here we have a sleek cylindrical vase and Bloggy Buddy Sandi simply cut the grips into rounds for bracelets, you can see her fun post  here. I love that idea because it gives Barbie, and Midge-who I believe is our model today, a lot of color and size options. The jewelry is another fun birthday party or sleepover craft.

Dress from 6" square of fabric tutorial here.

Glue some together to create a throw pillow.
(Disclaimer: I just leaned these against each other because I had other things to try too, but you get the idea.)
Tea light Jack-O-Lantern from recycled candy topper here.

My next idea was to cut the grips straight up the back,
open them and wrap them around Barbie's legs like leg warmers.
Super simple, just a way to add a little something extra for a sporty look.

Or how about cutting to size, six rings, to use as a can or bottle koozie.
You will need to cut up the back to help it wrap around the can/bottle.
A handsome new thrift store rescue for the blog, we likey...😉

The grips I bought:

That's a start, I'm sure there are lots of things we can do with these...
Stay tuned for more!

Make something just for fun and have a happy day😊
