Anyone interested in Barbie crafts is very familiar with the My Froggy Stuff videos. I poured a cuppa (or three) and spent way too much time admiring all of their great work! Well, I noticed right away the evolution of Toya's mini-me doll. Absolutely love it!!! Of course that got me thinking... I'd like a mini-me doll too:@) So I started looking around to find different faces, body types and looks, which one would be closest to me?
After a little searching reality set in...
I'm not a Barbie doll,
I'm more of a Rosie O'Donnell doll!!!
Oh well, at least I narrowed it down😊
So the search began for an affordable doll to make-over.
I found a pre-owned doll, minus one shoe, on Ebay with free shipping.
I bought her plane ticket from South Carolina to Philly😎
I was very surprised at how difficult it was to get this doll undressed!
Every article of clothing was sewn to each other.
It was obvious no child ever played with this doll.
Kinda lovin' that red pants/shirt combo for the holidays!
Had to chuckle at the tags...
Yes, I would consider myself a "friend of Barbie" too😉
Body shape:
Rosie is closer to Curvy Barbie, but thicker in the waist...
And honestly *cough*, so am I... Ha!
The biggest negative about this doll,
she has those old type rubbery legs, ugh.
But we'll work with it.
So there you have it folks,
a new project, and a challenging one.
We'll see if I can come close to creating a mini me doll...
