Every once in a while I find something that truly surprises me at Dollar Tree, and I have to say this kayak and jet ski are really fun! They are full 1:6 scale toys and both come with a life jacket. Barbie says safety first:@) And while Ken won't fit into the kayak, he can ride the jet ski. The blue part of the kayak opens up to help the doll fit it, and I can see a little dog sitting on the circle as a companion on the adventure!
Thoughts/Observations:
- The boats do float in water but, once you add a doll, they become top heavy and will need to be held to keep the doll upright. And I did try it with both Barbie and a very light weight $1 doll.
- The life vests are molded and made for a standard size female doll only. They don't fit Curvy Barbie or male dolls. They also don't float and keep the dolls out of water (no surprise, just confirming).
- Ken, GI Joe and other similarly sized action figure dolls will fit on the jet ski. And while a little snug... Even Cousin Rube can go for a ride😉
- Overall, these are substantial toys for the price. And I'm sure kids will have fun with them in the tub or pool.
