Upscaling Plastic Barbie Jewelry for a More Adult Look

While I do love the fun colors and designs of Barbie doll jewelry, sometimes I'd like a more... grown-up look:) The quickest way to achieve this is to simply spray paint the plastic a different color. Every once in a while I end up with more than one necklace in the same design or color (a lot of the jewelry is silver) and it's easy to turn silver into gold. I mentioned previously the 94¢ Mystery Packs of accessories had these hot pink LOVE necklaces and I ended up with two. Now one is gold...

And to take it one step further I glued a very small rhinestone into the circle of the letter O.
Super cute!

The same Mystery Packs had these star necklaces, the original color is orange.
I now have a gold one too.
I'm still sorting through my stash of craft supplies for a small star to glue to the center of one necklace.

And a simple silver necklace that I purposely painted very lightly with gold.

This is an easy craft that doubles Barbie's accessories and gives your doll a whole new look.
Barbie says: A girl can never have too much jewelry.😉
